Practical Trustee Responsibilities: breaking duties down into what to do and how to do it
At Stone King we’re running a series of interactive “Developing Mature Charity Governance” workshops, to extend and complement our established Trustee Training Programme. These new sessions have been specially developed following a consultation to establish what practical governance issues are of particular concern to charities. Numbers for these sessions are limited to enable focussed, interactive discussion.
We encourage you to get in touch with your discussion points prior to your session. Please email events@stoneking.co.uk with anything you would like to discuss.
Session One,
Practical Trustee Responsibilities: breaking duties down into what to do and how to do it, looks at:
- While the general legal duties of charity trustees are easily summarised; it is less easy to describe what they mean in actual practice.
- What are the distinct legal requirements, in relation to various charity activities? how should they inter-relate and be prioritised?
- What are the divisions of responsibility, personal levels of commitment and practical actions required for compliant and successful governance?
